Forgotten Aqueduct

In 2016, I booked a countryside driving excursion around Italy's Umbria region. Along the way, our driver took us along some back roads dividing vast wheat fields. He seemed a bit surprised (and rather amused) when I excitedly asked him to pull over by this unassuming and ancient Roman aqueduct to take some photos. I explained to our guide (who had grown up in the area) that if he ever traveled to Canada, he would enjoy many stunningly beautiful vistas - but no ancient aqueducts! We both shared a good laugh.
